DoSomething Scholarships ("It Pays to Do Good")

Young people ages 13–25 who want to earn scholarships by taking civic/volunteer action, with no essays, GPA minimums, or recommendation letters required.

• Live in the U.S. or be a U.S. citizen living abroad

• Scholarship awards (often sweepstakes-style); individual campaigns have offered up to $1,500
• Funds sent directly to your school for post-secondary costs

• Sign up for a scholarship-eligible action/campaign on the DoSomething platform
• Complete all action steps and submit a 'reportback' documenting your impact
• No essays, GPA requirements, recommendations, or traditional applications
• You can enter multiple scholarship campaigns

• Enter multiple campaigns, each eligible action is a separate entry with no limit.
• Submit a clear, well-documented reportback showing real-world impact.
• Plan to use any award before age 25, as funds are forfeited after that.

DoSomething reports distributing over $1.7M in scholarships over the past 10 years to 700+ winners. Awards must be used by age 25. Campaign amounts and availability vary over time.
