Cooke Young Scholars Program

High-achieving 7th-grade students with significant financial need who would benefit from intensive academic and college advising through high school.

• Demonstrate financial need
• Exceptionally promising students with strong academic achievement

• A five-year pre-college scholarship (7th grade through high school)
• Personalized academic and college advising from a Cooke Educational Adviser
• Funding for school expenses, summer programs, internships, and enrichment
• Two required annual summer programs, year-round programming, and peer networking
• Four-year planning, goal-setting, and high school selection support

• Online application during the open window (the application is closed outside the cycle)

• Apply in 7th grade, it's the only entry point for the program.
• Be prepared to document financial need.
• Sign up for email updates on the program page so you're notified when the cycle opens.

Run by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. Has served 1,348 scholars to date, with 99% enrolling in four-year colleges. Application opens only during a specific annual window.
