FNSNA Undergraduate Scholarship Program

Foundation of the National Student Nurses' Association

Need- and merit-based scholarships for students enrolled in undergraduate nursing programs, including pre-nursing students taking prerequisites; a dedicated diversity award also exists.

Who should apply

Students currently enrolled in a state-approved nursing program (including pre-nursing students taking prerequisites); NSNA members are eligible for additional member-only awards.

Eligibility

  • Currently enrolled in a state-approved nursing program or qualifying nursing curriculum
  • Must graduate after July 1 of the application cycle's year
  • U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or holder of an Alien Registration Number
  • NSNA Board and Nominating/Elections Committee members are ineligible

What you get

  • Undergraduate nursing scholarship funds toward your nursing education (amounts vary by award and sponsor)

What the application involves

  • Online application submission
  • Unofficial transcript uploaded to the application
  • Faculty Member Certification Form
  • Financial Aid Certification Form
  • NSNA members applying for member-only scholarships must include their membership number

Application tips

  • Request the Faculty and Financial Aid Certification forms early — they need third-party signatures.
  • If you're an NSNA member, have your membership number ready to qualify for member-restricted awards.
  • Confirm your expected graduation date meets the eligibility cutoff before applying.

Good to know

FNSNA awards multiple undergraduate scholarships in a single annual application; some are open to all eligible applicants while others are NSNA-member-restricted. Specific amounts and deadlines vary by cycle.
